BLM Protest

A few months ago, a sad incident happened in the United States. In Minneapolis, to be exact. A man named George Floyd died on May 25, 2020. He was strangled to death with the knee of an irresponsible and racist cop. The result of this incident created a mass protest over America. Citizens of the United States have gone riot because they don’t trust the police department anymore.

On the internet, the video of the white cop named Derek Chauvin uses his knees to strangle Floyd’s neck. He did that for eight minutes. Pedestrians around the area were already told to let his neck go because Floyd was running out of breath. However, Chauvin ignored that warning. He kept his knee pressed on Floyd’s neck until he died.

Now, Chauvin and three other cops who were with him were arrested. However, protests and riots were still happening. Not to mention that the COVID-19 plague was still terrorizing the world. Riots definitely caused vandalism, looting, and other stuff that was beyond my imagination. Many people who owned a local dadu online store suffered a great loss because of those riots.

What Marc says about this

“Property can be replaced, but lives don’t.” That is what Marc Jacobs said about the incident of George Floyd. In the W magazine, it was mentioned that Marc Jacobs’ boutique in Los Angeles became one of the targets of looters that used the riot as a chance.

Even though his boutique was looted, he still supports the BLM Protesters. From his word, he doesn’t care that his products from his boutique in Los Angeles were looted or vandalized because it just a property. He said that word from his Instagram video account with a hashtag, #BLACKLIVESMATTER. What a nice person he is.
